Glass Jar DIY for Organization

If you are like me organizing, reorganizing, and decluttering is an endless task. However, the more you do, the more you realize “what you like”. For example, you all probably know by now I am in love with the bronze paint. It’s a color that I am able to incorporate in almost everything I do. This organization project was for my desk top at home. See below my glass jar DIY organization project by using a few recycled glass jars to store my every-day-use office supplies.

There was a “last minute add” to this project that I will show you at the end of my step-by-step pics. See below my photos on how I made these items for my desk top.

How to make the striped DIY jars

glass jars painter taped
Use painters tape to tape off any areas of your jar that you do NOT want to paint. This will give you visibility into the contents of your jar.
spray painted glass jars
Spray paint the jars whatever color you want.
Glass jars painted filled with office supplies
Remove the painters tape and fill the jars with whatever you want.

Last Minute addition

butter dish top
Here is a lid from a butter dish (the dish broke so all I have is the lid). Believe it or not it is the perfect size for my Reader glasses.
spray painted butter dish top
What the heck…..I decided to spray paint it bronze also.
butter dish used to store glasses
I now have a place to put my Reader glasses….hopefully I won’t keep misplacing them.
glass jar DIY storage
Here are my final pieces. I ended up adding another jar for my binder clip storage.
