Springtime Decor with Tin Cans

Plants in DIY tin cans

I have done a DIY with Tin Cans post before but for some reason I keep coming back to them and this time “full force” for Springtime. This is how I have created some Springtime Decor with tin cans.

I’m not going to do any step-by-step tutorials because they are so easy. Below see a few of the ones I have created.

DIY with Tin Cans using Paint and Cinnamon

This one is probably my favorite. This creation is merely white paint, light sanding, a couple of stickers and light brushes of cinnamon to create the rusty/rustic look. I planted Lavender in this one.

DIY with Tin Cans using Napkins

These were very fun and easy to do. Once I got in to this one I never looked at a napkin the same way again. I never knew there were so many napkin designs. Many are sold specifically to use for crafting….crazy, huh! These cuties are merely Modge Podge and a napkin. You can’t get much easier than that.

The Blank one is painted with a sticker. I experimented with the bronze foiling on the top and bottom edges.

I will be making several more of these and spreading them all over the porch and house. If you want to “dress these up” for a simple gift you may consider using moss on top of the soil and/or adding some ribbon or jute for additional “oomph”.

Happy Spring everyone!!
