My daughter, Lauren, and I love to do DIY projects. I must say a Mother-Daughter duo can bring some pretty significant dynamics to the table (there is a slight….well..maybe MORE than slight…..generation gap).

I was raised in a totally different era from my daughter. With that said I tend to have some “thrify-ness” in my ideas. Lauren was raised in a era where “anything is possible”. By combining our two worlds we can end up with some pretty cool ideas.

I never thought of myself as having any talent in the craft arena BUT I soon realized that “beauty REALLY is in the eye of the beholder”. If you give a group of people the SAME idea and the SAME tools their projects will not turn out the same. There is always an opportunity to make it your “own creation”.

Speaking of “creation” I am not sure if you noticed the name of our business “Cre-AYE-tions“. Lauren and her husband, Dillon, have blessed us with our first grandchild, Aubrey. “AYE” happens to be Aubrey’s monogram so we wanted to somehow include her in our venture. You never know….this could grow to be a Mother-Daughter-Granddaughter trio in a few years…..or would that be a Grandmother-Mother-Daughter trio….I guess either way would work! LOL!
